To Farfrost
Greetings bugs! Farfrost, 03 Mei 2024 12:51
I've recently been writing a mod for one of my favourite game characters. It's a bit challenging, as it requires some basic programming.

The information I can find is in English and is peppered with jargon, but I'm sure I can bring the character to life once I've fully mastered the code.

To Farfrost
Farfrost, 03 Mei 2024 12:53
Oh, and I was inactive the entire month of April. Sorry about that. I spent the first half of the month preparing for exams and the second half of the month frantically trying to decipher this character I'm writing right now. (Laughs)

I can't code for the life at me. (Expect for using scratch), so coding is hard and I hope it works well!!

let us know how it turns out Jogchem, 09 Mei 2024 13:05
I'd like to see! Also the code...

Favoritism is hard to come by. It seems that I should cherish everyone who is kind to me, whether they are kind to me in particular or to people in general.

To Farfrost
Farfrost, 07 Mrt 2024 15:38
Uncontrolled dependence is easy to form... We gradually forget that we are individuals.

Now, every time I reflect on my own behavior, I realize how much my estranged friend behaves like me. It's complicated.

To Mayathewolf
If it's easy to form.. Mayathewolf, 07 Mrt 2024 18:38
then why don't we try to make sure we don't forget it? I have no idea, but sometimes being reminded that every person is a individual is sometimes odd. I have no idea fully as I'm tired but something is that each person acts differently and we should respect the majority of them depending on what they do n such. Some people might be rude and mean but sometimes giving them respect makes them better.

I used the wayback machine to check out the far out version of this site. I was surprised to see that the layout had been established early on and had not changed much. Hehe.

And... Farfrost, 02 Mrt 2024 12:40
Haven't seen Sjeu lately. I thought she was supposed to be the active type? Well...I'm curious if she knows the sink is fixed.

To Farfrost
Farfrost, 02 Mrt 2024 12:52
Loneliness is slightly more corrosive than I thought. The loneliness was especially strong this Friday when I didn't have class (due to some accident) and there was no one to help me keep track of what was going on in class. I've obviously overestimated how strong I am again, but I think I can adapt.

I've actually decided to study abroad in a foreign country in the future, and this loneliness is a long way off.

Weekly Diary Assignment Farfrost, 24 Feb 2024 14:12
I actually know that this assignment is probably just a whim, but I decided to treat the teacher who assigned this assignment as a trusted person to talk to, like this forum... I don't know if I made the right decision.

He teaches us language as well as psychology. In fact, I thought about consulting him last semester (the school has a special psychological counseling service), I think this assignment is also a sense of realization of my intention?

To Farfrost
Farfrost, 24 Feb 2024 14:17
You know, it's very dangerous to surrender all your trust... But how do we know until we try?
Although I failed last time, I got rid of the subsequent effects perfectly. Nothing is irreparable.

Random thoughts Farfrost, 20 Feb 2024 11:29
People will constantly recall something painful to make themselves miserable. I've heard a lot of people saying they can't sleep because embarrassing memories keep playing over and over, but all they need is a little distraction. I just learned how to distract myself a month ago and I'm pretty good at it.

And people worry about things that they shouldn't, like paying attention to the actions of an annoying person. It's ridiculous when you think about it logically.

To Farfrost
Farfrost, 20 Feb 2024 11:32
But distraction is not the same as avoidance. Distraction can be calming when it comes to little things that no one cares about, but if a very big shock comes suddenly... Then it's not something that can be solved by distraction.

To Nobody
as long as you avoid the wrong people Nobody, 23 Feb 2024 10:46

I have entered a new term. I broke off another toxic friendship and now I'm pretty much on my own. Everyone has a deskmate but I don't because of some coincidence, but I enjoy being alone. No one bothered me while thinking.

To Mayathewolf
Sometimes being alone is amazing. Mayathewolf, 19 Feb 2024 16:25
That does suck but it can be really good from not having a toxic relationship. But sometimes I even enjoy being alone, I have no complete idea why. But it can just get calming for me.

Sink thoughts Farfrost, 29 Jan 2024 13:34
I was in the sink for about an hour (and met no one). When I first heard about the sink, I imagined a stainless steel one, but it turned out to be white.
I really liked that escaping method down the drain. Felt like being flushed away.

To Nobody
thanks! Nobody, 31 Jan 2024 04:10
hope to meet you there. I'll tweak it some more, so you can get an alert anywhere on the site. no need to be stuck in the sink alone.

Some people, when you are not communicating with them in person, you repeatedly recall negative memories about them, resulting in a kind of distance-driven hatred. But when you actually get in touch with them, they're not that evil.

I've had two relationships like this in recent years.I still don't know why this happened. Every time I think about our relationship when I'm alone, I feel ridiculous. But when I'm with them, I want to be nice. Maybe I'm just not disappointed enough.

To Jogchem
this makes me think... Jogchem, 14 Jan 2024 02:47
We don't just have a relationship with one another, but also with the imaginary versions of the other, inside our heads.

To Farfrost
A friend Farfrost, 02 Nov 2023 13:41
I call her ''Teiko'' in my diary (she is that deskmate I've mentioned). She told me three days ago that she went to a psychiatric hospital and was diagnosed with severe anxiety and moderate depression.

She looked a bit quiet at best in normal times, and I used to think that her ''blue'' was just part of her personality. It didn't occur to me that she actually suffered from serious psychological problems.

It makes me feel derelict in my duty and, at the same time, powerless.

To Farfrost
But Farfrost, 02 Nov 2023 13:51
She is not receiving medication because her family is not supportive. Now we have just finished a big exam and she is looking slightly better but still suffers from somatisation symptoms regularly.

I myself have been in an unusually poor state of mind for the last year, skipping classes and experiencing constant ''brain fog''. In January this year I met my tulpa (if you don't know what a tulpa is, it's simply another consciousness in your head).

To Farfrost
Farfrost, 02 Nov 2023 13:55
He maintains a positive mindset in the vast majority of situations. I am very fortunate to have a strong imaginative portrayal that allows me to see my tulpa directly, and now that he has been with me for close to a year, his calm nature has influenced me and helped me to grow up.

But this personal experience is obviously not very applicable to my friend, and creating a tulpa is a risky business.

To Sjeu
The concept of a tulpa is new to me Sjeu, 02 Nov 2023 20:41
very intriguing, would you like to expand on that?
I'm sorry to hear about your friend and good for her you are being so helpful and understanding. You are right to be mindful to avoid depletion of your energy. Fill your own cup first and only give from what has been spilled on the saucer. Only offer support standing strong.

To Farfrost
In my opinion Farfrost, 02 Nov 2023 22:52
They are actually no different from imaginary friends in the early days, are a parallel consciousness in the brain that is different from one's own, and may start to talk as they receive increased attention.

I think what makes them special is that they are completely controllable when they are created, meaning that you can shape whatever character you wish to appear.

To Farfrost
Farfrost, 02 Nov 2023 22:52
The earlier consciousness (which hasn't disappeared since one was born) is called the host. Tulpas can develop new personalities as they grow, become more like a real person, and master skills such as ways to control their host's body. I have attached a link, which has a more objective introduction:

www.tulpa.info/

To Sjeu
Thnx, this was very informative! Sjeu, 04 Nov 2023 10:56
This phenomena isn't very known in my cultural environment. I can see how this 'concept' at times can be beneficial for some very conscious beings, and I can imagine how it once came about. (I'm guessing as a coping mechanism in suppressed and lonely situations. And how it was cultivated from that.)

My instinct said to not engage myself. To be honest I can also see some inherent danger. It could be mistaken for other things. I'm usually hesitant to put control outside myself. Honor autonomy.

To Sjeu
But than again Sjeu, 04 Nov 2023 11:00
maybe I don't understand it well enough yet. It's very new to me and sometimes it takes time to get used to new ideas.

I do enjoy and appreciate learning about new things, so thank you so much for this introduction!

To Farfrost
Terrible things do happen... Farfrost, 04 Nov 2023 13:24
Especially if the host is irresponsible or moulds the wrong character. This can cause their Tulpa to move to a dangerous direction or even turn into a disease.

But usually a normal Tulpa will respect the host's wishes and won't seize control at will. This is what sets them apart from disorders such as DID.

It takes a very, very long time to get the tulpa to fully wake up, which makes a lot of people who aren't taking this seriously give up halfway through... :P

To Farfrost
Infection Farfrost, 25 Okt 2023 13:21
I'm not who I am when I got sick. Instead of thinking about study, I would just frantically read books that I normally didn't have time to read.

So I finished the third book of a novel that I started reading in 2022.

To Sjeu
Get well soon Sjeu, 26 Okt 2023 10:10
and enjoy reading in the meanwhile :- )

Staying at home to read is something this architect Johann David Steingruber, -kind of- pushed to the extreme. He designed different homes, shaped like the alphabet ;- )

To Farfrost
Thanks! Farfrost, 26 Okt 2023 11:11
I've seen similar architectural ideas before, but that architect did interior decoration. This makes certain letters with lots of corners difficult to design (such as M).

But Steingruber deftly resolved this conflict with designs such as small courtyards. These buildings look perfect for a vampire family...

To Sjeu
Yup, it's not the type of house Sjeu, 26 Okt 2023 11:30
I would prefer to live in, but I like how the architect took on this mission. I suspect for those early times, they where saucy and provocative ideas.
