Yes I know I'm late, but Happy new year to all.

new religion Furrytrash, 16 Dec 2019 00:37
We need to make a religion out of this place

Well, I know not all bugs like light, but perhaps the heat would be enough. Maybe we bugs just need a new sun god?

Idea? Furrytrash, 16 Dec 2019 07:58
Nice idea, should it be a new sun god or one that already exists?
To many ideas my fellow bug

To Humannequin.
Hmm good question Humannequin, 16 Dec 2019 08:25
I think a new one would hardly be a god if it was simply made by the bugs. Perhaps a revival of an old god would be appropriate? There's definitely a few out there anyway. What do the other bugs think?

If we are looking into ancient mythologies, what do the bugs think of gods vs goddesses?

Opinions Furrytrash, 16 Dec 2019 08:47
You have a point, what is the back story with bugs and gods. All depends on what the others think of this.

Elemental gods? Bugbird, 16 Dec 2019 15:06
Maybe there could be a flower or natural god that we hail to, since some, or most, bugs are drawn to plants and make said plants into homes.

research Furrytrash, 17 Dec 2019 00:23
Well then, time to look into some sun/nature based gods or maybe even a proper bug based god

Possibly found one! Bugbird, 17 Dec 2019 15:02
Atlach-Nacha (known as Zath in a few stories) is a giant primordial spider from the Cthulhu mythos. I'll try finding other things about them. There are also Deskari, the locust god of pestilence, Calistria, the wasp goddess of revenge, and Akachk, the mantis god of murder.

Khepri - Egyptian; the scarab-faced god and minor solar deity
IKaggen - South African; the divine trickster primarily presenting in the form of the mantis

Nice suggestions, I'll have to take a better look into them, hoping to eventually find one.

Sorry for the long wait.
